Welding Tools Stronghand Welding Table

Welding Tools

Welding Tools, modular fixturing, and using the Stronghand Build Pro Table – Part 2

Fabricating 10 carts using a precision welding table and fixturing package.

In part 1, we assembled the side panels using 1-1/2″ sq tubing and 3/8″ round stock.

Now its time to frame it up minus the lid. ( leaving the lid until the very last step for painting reasons.)

The Stronghand Welding Table and fixturing came in handy because there is no lid to hold the uprights and keep them plumb and square.

30 minutes of fixturing = hours of time saved.

Stainless handles go together in a flash and are then welded to the carts leaving them ready to paint.

In part 3 we wrap it up and also show a few more applications and odd jobs done on the table.

Mig welding parameters

er70s6 .035″ wire
21 volts
275-300 ipm ( checked with stopwatch and ruler)

tig welding the handles

120 amps to tack by bumping the torch switch

60 amps welding current using no filler metal

  6. Another fine and helpful video Jody. You make it easy to see the benefits of having that table to do fixturing with as well as leaving us with guidance we can all use.

    Thanks again

  8. Can you explain MIG welding the stainless brackets to the mild legs?

Or is the handle stainless and the bracket mild steel?
